The Executive Director of the Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), Mary Addah, and the Executive Director of the Parliamentary Network Africa (PNAfrica), Sammy Obeng have been elected Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson to steer the affairs of the Right to Information Coalition for the next two years.

They will lead a newly elected 15-member Steering Committee which is made up of “representatives of organizations that have a wealth of experience in open governance through access to information.”

This was contained in a press release dated Thursday, November 9, 2023, announcing the new leadership of the network, as well as thanking the former Steering Committee, which was led by Dr. Kojo Asante (CDD-Ghana) as Chairman and Mina Mensah (CHRI Africa) as Vice Chairperson.

The RTI Coalition is a network of over 100 civil society organizations and human rights activists across Ghana, working to promote transparency and accountability of government as well as greater participation of citizens in the democratic processes, through the mechanism of the right to information legislation in Ghana.
