JOANA OPPONG
Ghana Country Programme Officer

Joana Oppong is the Ghana Country Program Officer for Parliamentary Network Africa (PNAfrica) a Civil Society Organisation dedicated to advancing Open Parliament in Africa. 

Joana first joined PNAfrica in 2017 as a Project Officer assisting the Project/Programmes Manager in the implementation of projects and organising events. She participated in project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, budgeting, resource mobilisation and programme development for projects such as the Crystal Ball Series and Bill Symposium Workshops.

Joana took a break from PNAfrica in 2019 and returned in 2022 as a Business Development Officer to complement the organization’s fundraising efforts. In May 2023, in line with the new strategic plan of PNAfrica to increase its impact in all countries of operation, she was promoted to Ghana Country Programme Officer.

Joana is a Ghanaian with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication (Public Relations) from The Ghana Institute of Journalism.
