Asantehene to award Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu

Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and the Majority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, is to be awarded on Sunday, November 26, 2017, by His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene of the Asante Kingdom.

Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu is being recognised and honoured for 20 years of meritorious service to the Suame Constituency, Asanteman and the Nation.

The investiture is slated for Sunday 26th November, 2017 at 12pm, at the Bremang Park, Bremang, Kumasi.

Born in February 3, 1957, Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, is one of the longest serving Members of Parliament and a repository of parliamentary knowledge.

He is currently the chairperson for three major Committees of Parliament, namely, the Special Budget Committee, House Committee and the Business Committee.

He is also a member of the Finance Committee, Mines and Energy Committee, Standing Orders Committee, and Committee of Selection.

In attendance will be H.E. the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, The Right Honourable Michael Ocquaye, Speaker of Parliament, Ministers of State, Honourable Members of Parliament, other distinguished personalities and the general public.
